As a left-handed mathematician, I was often told some more or less provable facts about left-handed people.
Between Jan. 18 and Jan. 31 2015, the 18th Midrasha Mathematicae took place at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies.
During the talks, I noticed several local participants were left-handed. It would be interesting to know the incidence of between a mathematician (supposedly correlates with being left-handed) and having a right-to-left writing system associated with the mother language.
Are these things correlated?
Well, a study done a few years ago seems to reveal the reason why lefties are rare.
